A rare find

I was able to source a legendary Reynolds Ouzo Pro Seatpost for the Muse. The Reynolds has a solid clamp to fit the Fi'zi:k carbon rail saddle. The Ouzo Pro seatpost is a scant 180 grams at 350mm!

This year my friend Aaron and I are going to ride the Dalmac. It is not the first time we have attempted The Dalamc, we rode the four day west ride two years ago and had a great, if not interesting, experience. We never offically made it to Mackinaw, we finished by automobile. I liked the beer so much at our last stop we are going to attempt our mini mac again. With all of our Dalmac experience we should have an even more interesting experience this time.

Round holes and square pegs

I discovered that I have to chose between my new seat-post and my new seat. Both are very nice and non compatible. I like them both, it will be sad to see one go. The main issue is the carbon rails of the fi'zi:k Aliante Carbon Twin Flex are not round. They are more rectangle and will not fit the Specialized seat-post. I am sure there will be more tough choices ahead.

Month #2

This process is taking a lot longer than I had planned. I am learning that a built from scratch bike will require a very close attention to detail. I ordered the Seven alloy stem with the Ti bolt upgrade for its very low weight. The Bar is a Bontrager VR fit that I chose for the short reach.
I added the specialized carbon pro seat-post because the Zertz technology works very well.
